The goals of the project are to update and characterize pesticide contamination (aldrin, dieldrin, lindane, and malathion) at the Ahaya Valley DLCO Site (using both field analytical methods (semi-quantitative) and laboratory analysis of samples); Evaluate possible remedial actions for the site, considering technical feasibility, effectiveness, cost, time and logistical considerations; Make recommendations on remedial actions; and Develop plans, designs and specifications for the recommended remedial actions.

Current project activities include:

  • Collect, analyze and assess environmental data for pesticides
  • Review existing regulations related to contamination, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare recommendations
  • Consult with government and stakeholders.
