Duration: 6 months
Pure Earth, the world’s leading organization dedicated to eliminating toxic pollution, is seeking a Health Area Coordinator for the Mexico office. The successful candidate will be a talented, reliable, deadline-driven healthcare professional, and will be in charge of Pure Earth Mexico projects related to monitoring blood lead among the general population and strategic allies such as restaurant owners and potters. The ideal candidate should be an outgoing, purposeful person, with good communication skills, and with knowledge of comprehensive health issues.

Job Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the health investigations of Pure Earth Mexico
● Generate and edit research protocols: measurement of lead in potters, measurement of lead in restaurateurs and measurement of lead in children.
● Plan the field work, organize its phases, from preparation to data collection.
● Produce documents that will be needed in the study, such as: informed consent letter, privacy notice, exposure questionnaire and other formats.
● Get theoretical and practical training on sampling with LeadCare II equipment.
● Adapt/modify manual for taking samples in LeadCare II equipment.
● Coordination of content addressed to study participants.
● Supervise and guide field operators.
● Verify that the quality of work is acceptable.
● Coordinate data collection and writing of articles.
2. Coordinate actions with institutions related to health
● Meetings with the directors of the health secretariats to agree on lines of action for the duration of the project.
● Preparation of field forms (Exposure Questionnaire)
● Plan logistics in collaboration with the related health secretariats.
Qualifications & Experience
● Master’s degree in a field related to health and/or nutrition.
● Previous study design and coordination experience is a plus.
● Residence in Mexico City, and with availability to travel to the interior of the country.
● English 100% is desirable
