Latin America United Against Lead | Pure Earth Webinar
October 20 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm
Free
As part of International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2026, Pure Earth will bring together voices from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru to explore how Latin America is moving from detecting lead-exposure risks to implementing practical prevention solutions.
Aligned with this year’s theme, From Detection to Prevention, this public regional conversation will highlight progress, lessons, and partnerships that protect health and the environment. Through a moderated dialogue, participants will hear how countries and local actors are strengthening knowledge, building capacity, and turning evidence into action.
The webinar is designed for government representatives, public-health and environmental professionals, academic institutions and researchers, civil-society organizations, community leaders, and private-sector actors interested in advancing collaborative solutions to prevent lead exposure.
The session will be held in Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation into English and Portuguese, and will be co-moderated by Natalia Machuca, Regional Director for Latin America, and Caroline Baylor, Senior Program Manager, Latin America.
