In 2026, India (Tamil Nadu) and Ghana each secured meaningful regulatory wins restricting lead in cookware, while Mexico is advancing lead prevention on two fronts: existing standards on lead in ceramics, now under review as part of this year’s national quality infrastructure plan, and a broader National Strategy on lead exposure. This webinar brings these efforts into one conversation, featuring researchers, regulators and technical experts from Pure Earth, the Ghana Standards Authority and Mexico’s health sector to explore what it took to garner government support and the challenges ahead around enforcement and implementation.
