National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2026 Event at Mount Sinai Hospital

National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is an annual observance to raise awareness and reduce childhood lead exposure.
The 10 AM panel will focus on lead testing, including current childhood blood lead level screening guidelines and also testing of home indoor/outdoor environments with a Q&A discussion. Following a lunch (provided) from 11 AN to noon, a smaller policy focused discussion will bring together stakeholders to discuss how we can better prevent lead poisoning through safe housing and other local government policies from noon to 1 PM.
Join us to learn more about and connect with organizations including the Montefiore Regional Lead Resource Center & Lead Safe House, UNICEF’s Partnership for a Lead Free Future, Pure Earth, Earthjustice, Cooper Square Committee NYC, Lead Free Kids NY, as well as academic and government partners!
